Patterns

Rating: Ages 18+

International Award-Winning Short Film | 2025

Film Description:
Patterns is a hauntingly honest and visually gripping short film that uncovers the cycles we inherit, repeat, and eventually must confront. From unresolved childhood trauma to generational dysfunction, this story follows a woman caught in the familiar, but destructive, patterns of her past, replaying them in relationships that mimic pain she never chose but unknowingly carried.

Written and produced by Dr. Taffiney Williams, award-winning filmmaker, transformational speaker, and Master Life Coach. Patterns boldly explores how unhealed wounds and father-fractured identities create soul ties that feel like love but are really just trauma on repeat.

As the story unfolds, what looks like romance is revealed to be residue… and what feels like love is really the echo of unmet needs. Unfortunately, she fails to discover the courage to break free not just from a man, but from the mindset that made her believe she needed him to be whole.

🎬 Patterns challenges viewers to:
🔹 Examine their relationship cycles
🔹 Identify the source of repeating dysfunction
🔹 And finally say YES to healing, identity, and wholeness

This short film is a mirror, a warning, and a hope-filled roadmap toward freedom. It’s a call to interrupt what’s been passed down and choose something different on purpose, with God, and for the generations to come.
Patterns is more than a film, it’s a breakthrough.
Watch. Reflect. Break the cycle.
