Jesus Freaks Trailer

Synopsis:

Jesus Freaks follows the relationship of a hippy and a cheerleader as it grows during the height of the Jesus movement on the east coast in a college setting.

The Holy Spirit is center stage as college kids, raised in the church, have never been taught to read their Bibles. They didn’t know they could dive deeper into a relationship with God, who they have always felt was inaccessible.

The conflicts continue until the final throw-down with the pastor, who rejects the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and kicks Joanie out of the church's summer missionary program. Her reaction is life changing and results in several supernatural events empowered by the Holy Spirit.
