Before We Begin - Short Drama

This my first narrative project and this short film is a culmination of a series of events and a calling on my life. I originally intended this to be a short film concept that would eventually become a feature, however after much feedback from industry professionals, friends and family, I decided to make this into a series for streaming. Hindsight is 20/20 so of course I'm aware of things I would improve, but I did this with all the knowledge I had then. And that will be the case for every project moving forward. This was filmed in Corpus Christi, TX.

I'm proud of how this short came to be and thankful for everyone involved into making this a reality. I wrote, directed, produced and edited this entire thing and I learned a lot from this experience. I'm very excited about the future of my filmmaking endeavors.

The stories of christian young adults and those opposed or on the fence about living for God need to be told in an authentic, uncompromising way with incredible production quality, a phenomenal script and a captivating story that takes viewers on a journey that will cause them to think about their life and what will the future look like for them.

Summary: A young adult must confront her religious upbringing when her boyfriend embraces Christianity, forcing her to face her troubled past and reconsider her future. In a sea of dull and predicable cliche Christian movies that try to tell a story that somehow points to Jesus, Before We Begin distinguishes itself amongst the rest and captures a glimpse of what it really feels to be a young adult Christian in this self-centered world with an unfiltered faith-based story of the realities of Christianity throughout the eyes of young adults.
