20 | They were just friends for years—until one snowboarding trip, one movie night, and one unexpected text changed everything

Josh and Ashley were casual friends for about two and a half years, often hanging out in the same circle but never seeing each other as more than that. One winter, Ashley posted on social media that she wanted to go snowboarding. Josh already had plans to go the next day and invited her to join. On the three-hour drive to the mountains, conversation flowed easily. They discovered how much they had in common, and Josh was impressed by Ashley’s snowboarding skills.
