Awake, Alert, and Awestruck - Part 1

Awake is a call to recognize how busyness, distraction, and the pursuit of temporary satisfaction can lull us into spiritual sleep, leaving us restless and empty without Jesus. Scripture urges us to wake up now, not later, because true life begins when we acknowledge our need for Him. God awakens His people in different ways—through crisis like the Prodigal Son, through dramatic intervention like Saul on the road to Damascus, or through gentle, personal conversation like Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman. Whether sudden or gradual, awakening always involves recognizing our brokenness, surrendering to Christ, and receiving the forgiveness, purpose, and new life that only He can provide.
