Makeda Limited Series Funding Pitch

Some stories wait thousands of years to be told.

MAKEDA: Sheba’s Queen, is a faith-based historical drama inspired by the Bible and the ancient Ethiopian tradition recorded in the Kebra Nagast, with creative liberties taken to expand the story for a cinematic audience.

From her unexpected rise to the throne of Sheba, Makeda’s journey unfolds through court politics, faith, power, betrayal, and the choices that will shape her legacy. Along the way, she is destined to encounter King Solomon—a meeting that will change the course of history.

MAKEDA is a story of the woman behind the crown: her courage, intellect, faith, relationships, and the challenges of becoming a queen.

We are raising $25,000–$30,000 to bring the next chapter of MAKEDA to the screen.
