On our third episode: Sit with us as we get up close & personal with Johnson Brock as he talks about his wonderful adventure of being an international artist and touring the world as a performer, starting his own dance company in Asia and doing mission trips. If you're wondering how to make it globally as a performer, here are a few pointers from Johnson.


Johnson Brock is an actor based in London. Johnson founded Theatre Dance Vietnam with Linh Ann in 2019. He left his hometown of Austin to pursue acting at Northwestern University. He was in the musical theatre certificate program and graduated cum laude with a Communications degree. Johnson also completed the General Course at the London School of Economics.
Johnson started his professional acting career working in Chicago theatre. He earned his AEA card, as a Dance Captain at Drury Lane Oakbrook. He then set his sights on New York City and completed the professional semester at Broadway Dance Center. He has worked with some of Broadway's best directors and choreographers, such as Marcia Milgrom-Dodge, Chet Walker and Joshua Bergasse.
Johnson has experienced international living through very exciting endeavors including: working as a roofer in Mexico with YWAM's Homes of Hope, studying for a year at the London School of Economics, touring Japan and Taiwan with Disney Live, dance training in France with Centre National de la Danse, and teaching at Peery Matriculation School in Tamil Nadu, India.

Carvens Lissaint is a Haitian American award-winning poet, actor, speaker and teaching artist. Most recently Carvens completed his 6-year run as George Washington in the Tony Award winning musical HAMILTON where he performed in the Broadway, Los Angeles and National Touring companies. Lissaint was an honoree of the first annual Shadow and Act RISING Star Awards held by Blavity. He can be seen on HULU in the short “Go to Bed, Raymond”, featured on the second, third, & fifth seasons of the hit television series “Verses and Flow” on TVOne, and debuted his original poem “Embers in The Dark” on NBA on TNT’s: The Arena. Carvens is an author of two poetry collections, “The Inspiration- From: Heart, To Page” and his most recent work “Target Practice” which was featured on Huffington Post, Broadway.com’s Front Row, and the Build Series. A proud graduate of The American Academy for Dramatic Arts, St. John’s University and holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of The Arts-Graduate Acting Program. He is a follower of Christ and gives all glory to Jesus.

Adaku found her way into acting back in 2006. She started out as many fellows actors do, doing Background work. It wasn't long till Adaku fell in love with the art and started honing on her craft. Years passed by with classes, training, short films and an independent feature under her belt to finding her niche to set herself apart from the crowd. 

Adaku has worked on numerous productions from major motion films to independent projects. Some of her other works include, Netflix/Marvel's "Jessica Jones", NBC's "Law & Order: SVU", CBS's "F.B.I.", and AMC's "Dietland". "Four One Nine", a short film in which Adaku had a supporting role in, toured the festival circuit including oversea, such as Germany, Cannes and several other countries. "Shankman's" an indie feature film which, she not only had a supporting role but also did her own stunts. Adaku loves sports, especially basketball. S2 Ep4: Navigating the Waiting Season with Juliet Godwin

On our fourth episode: Australian actress Juliet Godwin shares her much needed testimony for us actors currently in the waiting season as she opens up about being a full time working actor, seeing prayer as rest, time management and self love. Juliet Godwin is a Zimbabwean born Australian actress. Juliet’s family immigrated to Perth Western Australia when she was 6 years old. In 2009, whilst attending, St Hilda’s Anglican school for girls Juliet embarked on a student exchange to South Africa. This kindled a spirit of adventure, facilitating her return to South Africa in 2012, at the age of 17, to complete tertiary studies. Juliet’s love for film was ignited when working under South African Director Johannes Ferdinand Van Zyl. Ferdinand mentored Juliet on multiple projects. The most notable being, “THE RECCE,” which has won many awards, including Best Foreign Feature Drama at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in California as well as a Silver Remi at the WorldFest Houston film festival in Texas. Whilst living in Cape Town stylist Cally Palmer scouted Juliet while playing bingo at a quaint Vredehoek café. Within her first year of modelling she was selected as World Swim Suit Rookie, SA Lingerie Cover Star and booked multiple TV Commercials such as, “ Superdrug Loves UK,” and “Carefree World Wide campaign.” In 2018, Juliet travelled to Los Angeles to audition for the American Academy of DramaticArts. She was successful in her endeavour and was awarded the highest merit scholarship available. However, selection into the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts ensured Juliet remained in Australia. Juliet completed the course under the tutorship of Catherine Moore and Damian Foley. During Juliet’s studies she completed the short film, “Star Trek, Line of Duty,” and ABC’s, “The Heights.” Currently Juliet resides in Sydney working as an actress under Morrissey Management.

Laura Mae is a producer, casting director, actress and avid supporter of the faith based film industry. She is the owner/founder of Christian Casting (launched in 2017) and the groundbreaking app, ROOM4 (currently in development). She is a strong advocate for indie filmmakers in the USA and abroad and is the director and head (virtual) teacher of the John 3:16 Film School in Uganda. Her efforts focus on continual and effective building of community, always looking for new ways to connect and equip the body of Christ within the film industry. She loves to teach and provides a variety of online classes through Christian Casting. In her personal life, she is a homeschool mom of 9, a wife of 23 years and a firm believer in the impossible. Her greatest desire is to walk faithfully to her calling and to one day hear, “Well done.”

Grace Chim, New Zealand born, Indonesian-Singaporean actress/singer trained in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts-New York. She has just wrapped shooting a US TV Pilot entitled The Healer. which will be released in 2024. Her most recent credits include television series Bali 2002 on STAN, award winning film Breaking the Silence (awarding her performance in the Vegas Movie Awards), Sci-Fi thriller Feature Risen, Marvel’s Shang-Chi Legend of the Ten Rings, Indonesian Feature Aku Atau Dia and various Off-Broadway theatre credits. Most recently, she has also been privileged to sing for His Majesty King Charles in the Buckingham Palace. In addition to this, she has also released her own debut single Safe & Sound on Spotify which will be licensed in a US feature film.

Vanessa Cozart, Raised in the South but now based in New York, Vanessa is that down to earth sweet Southern girl who can still turn on that New York attitude especially in defense of those she loves. Vanessa is a complex actor with a youthful feminine essence who can still kick your ass and never backs down from an adventure. Recent credits include Smile opposite Sosie Bacon, Manifest Season 4, and The Other Two Season 3.
